The United Kingdom Initiative (UKI) - 'Be Your Own Hero':
Documentary

As part of a university production crew, I helped create a short documentary which follows two volunteers from a Liverpool-based charity that supports people experiencing homelessness. This project required:

  • Production (Camera & Sound): Filming on-location talking heads and dynamic street footage, managing low-light environments, and capturing clear, sensitive audio in unpredictable settings.

  • Documentary Storytelling: Working with real people and lived experiences, conducting interviews, and shaping an authentic narrative tone.

  • Post-Production & Editing: Structuring the story, syncing and refining audio, and balancing interview content with observational footage.

  • Team Collaboration: Coordinating roles within a student crew, communicating effectively on set, and contributing across multiple stages of production.
